Yuria of Ailurus Introduction Video

Yuria of Ailurus Appearance

Yuria is a former red panda transformed into a human, standing at 153 cm (5’0″). She has striking emerald eyes and coral-colored hair with white highlights, styled into a braided crown. Her triangular ears, rimmed in white with dark brown ear flaps and a touch of white fur, give a nod to her red panda origins. Her tail, matching her hair’s coral hue, features three white bands and fades to dark brown near the tip.

She wears a sleeveless, white, vertical-banded tank top with a band at the top and a red insignia just above her chest. A small mole is visible on the right side of her chest. Over this, Yuria sports a royal blue sleeveless coat with periwinkle accents and a delft blue strap that holds a portable green bamboo stick. Periwinkle accents on the coat’s front include inward-facing triangles at the corners for added detail.

Her coat collar features unique attachments: a rose with white petals and a blush pink center on the left, and a neatly tied knot with a silver button on the right. Inside the coat, bamboo leaf designs outlined in light blue add a natural touch.

Yuria’s sleeves, separate from the coat, are royal blue with periwinkle bands at the top and bottom. She pairs this with white, vertically banded knee-high socks and white knee-high boots. The boots feature a central vertical line and sapphire-colored soles. The outer flaps of the boots, like her coat and sleeves, are royal blue with periwinkle accents, held together with black laces.

Yuria of Ailurus Second Costume

Yuria’s second outfit is a sophisticated short dress featuring shades of purple and periwinkle with golden accents. Below her right ear, she wears a rose hairpiece with white petals and blush pink pistils, secured by a mauve ribbon with twin golden lines near the ends, two golden ribbons, and two unique purple ornaments. Her left ear is adorned with two plus-shaped golden earrings.

Her hairstyle now includes twin tails, with a braid that runs vertically rather than horizontally. She wears a high-knee-length purple dress with mauve sleeves, leaving her shoulders bare. The dress features a sheer black section from her neck to the top of her chest, with a red insignia above her chest. Both the dress collars and dress itself are royal purple with golden accents.

She completes the look with a mauve outer coat accented with gold, and tropical indigo frilly sleeves adorned with bamboo patterns. The dress is cinched at the waist by a dark violet band with two blackberry-colored straps, fastened with golden diamonds. A tropical indigo cloth with floral designs lies under the band. Yuria’s signature black belt is also present under the band, and she carries her green bamboo on her right side.

For her lower attire, Yuria wears an asymmetrical sock style. Her right sock is fully opaque, while her left leg has a mid-thigh sock with a floral design, finished with an eggplant purple tip and two mauve ribbon ties. She wears a periwinkle cape with bamboo patterns, similar to her original look, which transitions from periwinkle to cloudy blue with golden accents. Her ankles are wrapped in heather straps, secured with golden diamonds, and her eggplant-colored ballerina flats have grape-colored soles.

Yuria of Ailurus Fans

  • Yuria’s fans, affectionately called the “Bamboozlers,” draw their name from a playful combination of “bamboo”—the tall, green plant favored by red pandas—and “bamboozle,” meaning to trick or deceive. Among the Bamboozlers, there’s a running joke that Yuria’s eyes resemble the view from Starsnatch Cliff at night—a beautiful location in Genshin Impact, known for its lush, green cliffside and vast blue skies.

Lore

  • Once merely a familiar, the witch’s loyal companion found her life irrevocably changed when a magical mishap transformed her into a human-animal hybrid. Now left alone with few possessions and no clear answers, she chose to adapt the only way she knew: by aiding those around her. In exchange for shelter and with the hope that her kindness might eventually lead her to uncover the truth of her origins, she set off on this new path. Yet, much like the mystical crest that adorns her chest, her true identity remains an unsolved mystery… for now.

Likes and dislikes

  • Yuria has a deep love for video games, climbing, eating bamboo, cats, and drinking tea. However, she’s not a fan of coffee, ketchup, or bugs, and has a bit of a love-hate relationship with drawing—though she prefers digital art.
  • Her favorite games include FromSoftware titles, especially Bloodborne, horror games like the Resident Evil series, and beat ’em up games such as River City Girls and Streets of Rage. She also enjoys Splatoon, the Pokémon series, Baten Kaitos Origins, the Nier series, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Medarot, and Genshin Impact.
  • Yuria’s favorite anime series are Nichijou, K-On!, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Kill la Kill, and Little Witch Academia. Her favorite Pokémon is Umbreon, and her top character from the Fire Emblem series is Mia.
  • During one of her livestreams, Yuria received a surprising amount of Genesis Crystals, allowing her to roll for Raiden Shogun, a rare and limited-time 5-star character in Genshin Impact. Remarkably, she pulled Raiden after a single try, having already rolled 26 times before.

Miscellaneous

  • Yuria’s 6-month anniversary and birthday took place on International Red Panda Day 2021 (a day taking place every third Saturday of September).
    • She also achieved Twitch affiliate status around the same day and was reflected on the stream.
