22/7 (ナナブンノニジュウニ Nanabun no Nijuuni) is a mixed-media 2D/3D idol group project, created by a partnership between Japanese record producer Yasushi Akimoto and Sony Music Entertainment (via its Japanese anime and music production company Aniplex, and its record label Sony Music Records).
This is a project where real idol girls bring life to virtual anime-style idols as their counterparts.
In 2018, eight of the 11 members became Virtual YouTubers, starting with Fujima Sakura.
By 2022, only Takigawa Miu was active on YouTube, though rarely.
As of 2024, there are 10 active members of Group. They mainly appear as their real-life selves, occasionally posting on Showroom, 22/7’s YouTube, and their personal or character X accounts (formerly Twitter). None of the original members’ YouTube accounts are active, although some are still part of the group.
